It's OK, you haven't missed it yet. Our club's premier event of the year and the 26th annual show.

There are two places to be at this time of year if you are interested in Rocks, Minerals, Fossils, Gems; Collier Row, Romford and if you're not there, then you must be in Tucson.

Here for a taste, or teaser, are a couple of pictures to give you an idea of the two jam packed halls at our show.

What I like about this show is the quality of the specimens and the reasonable (ish) prices. Nothing West End about them. That's because most of the dealers are keen amateurs.

It does pay to make your mind up quick. I've been to this show many a time and done a tour of the stalls, eyeing what to spend my money on. Only to find that the specimens have been sold by the time I got back. Upset? Not half.

Another great thing about this show is that you can always find quality British Minerals and Fossils for sale. Not as easy as you think.

The dealers are most willing to talk and chat. A very friendly show.

One last bit of advice, peak under the tables. Perhaps not the bargain basement but it's eye-popping what these guys 'n' girls bring for a one day show.

If you know your way around Romford/Collier Row the address is: NORTH ROMFORD COMMUNITY CENTRE, CLOCKHOUSE LANE, COLLIER ROW, ROMFORD, ESSEX. Still confused? Need a map? Free car parking (access from Clockhouse Lane). Public transport: Bus from Romford Station (main Line). 252 (That's what I was told but do check bus before you get on.) 365 from Romford station stops outside the door!

I can't finish this off without making a mention of the canteen. Nice Tea/Coffee, Rolls and Cakes.

Show starts at 10 am and ends at 4 pm.
