Visits

We enjoy about a dozen field visits each year. The photo above shows Bull's Lodge Quarry near Chelmsford, where clay was dumped by an ice sheet 450,000 years ago on top of glacial outwash gravel and the river-bed gravel of the ancient River Thames.
